with pharmaceutical companies in the USA/CANADA for SAS/BIOSTATISTICIAN
Specialists.
One of our client, in BRITISH-COLUMBIA (CANADA), is ACTIVELY looking for a
SAS Programmer and a BIOSTATISTICIAN to accomplish the following tasks
for a peridod of 6 months (minimum ) renewable
ANALYST PROGRAMMER II
TAKS :
- An active mentor to one or more junior staff members
- Generator of primary and derived secondary SAS data sets.Writes,
documents and performs quality control review of programs and command
files. Produces well-formatted tables, listings and plots per
specification. Reviews reports for consistency between text and tables,
listings and plots
-Works with Biostatisticians, Medical Writers, and other operations
staff to generate data summaries
-Attends project team meetings as scheduled. Creator of ad hoc programs
to provide information to the project team and/or client as required
REQUIRED :
- MINIMUM of 2 years SAS programming experience required. Experience
with clinical trials or in the pharmaceutical industry preferrable.
A MUST :
-Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information
systems, health sciences or related field from an accredited institution, or
equivalent work experience required
BIOSTATISTICIAN II
TASKS :
-Designs, analyzes, and reports on clinical and preclinical studies.
-keeps up with current industry and company practices related to
statistical analysis structured for clinical trials data, and provides
statistical analysis support for clinical trials.
-Works closely with other team members and obtains direction from senior
staff when appropriate.
-May serve as mentor to junior-level biostatisticians and analysis
programmers.
-Assumes role of project team representative.
-Interacts with clients.
REQUIRED :
-Graduate degree from an accredited institution in biostatistics
or statistics (M.S.), or commensurate experience required.
-MINIMUM 2-3 years employment-related experience in statistical and
biostatistical analysis required with M.S OR 0-3 years required with Ph.D.
-Knowledge of SAS programming and other statistical software required,
VAX/VMS and PC experience preferred.
-Familiarity with statistical methods used for biomedical research preferred
-Experience with clinical trials and consulting experience preferred.
-Pharmaceutical industry experience helpful
