Subject: matching records in SPSS
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hello,

I have two related data files (say, A and B) in text format. Some fields (or variables) have common records in both files; e.g., ID fields in both files have about 70% of same IDs along with other records for each case (or row). I need to incorporate these two data files into one using this common variable, ID. How can I do that without losing cases that do not have matching IDs in either file A or B? Your help would be very much appreciated. Shung

P.S. How do I subscribe this listserv?
