I was able to locate the single Ross' Goose among four other Snow Geese and around 2 dozen Canadas at the intersection of Bells Ferry & Old Bells Ferry Roads in Floyd County. For those of you coming in from the east or north, you might want to drive south on Hwy 53 or west on Hwy 140 to the intersection of 53/140. The road leading west from that intersection is Turkey Mtn Rd. Bells Ferry Road is a couple miles west of the 53/140 intersection. The geese are 1.8 miles south of Turkey Mtn Rd.

I was unable to locate the Rough-legged Hawk on Floyd Springs Road. Arrowhead PFA looked dead. Rosedale BBQ is a good place to get lunch if you're in the area. It's at the intersection of Hwy 156 and Everett Springs Road, a couple miles east of Floyd Springs and 156.

Jim Greenway Fairmount, Ga.
