Jeffrey,
Has anyone pointed out that the syntax guides are available in PDF and
either already copied to your hard-drive or on the SPSS CD? If they are
on your hard-drive, you should be able to get to them by clicking on the
Help menu option and then selecting the Syntax Guide option. If that
does not work, browse the CD contents and go into the SPSS folder on the
CD. The spssbase.pdf file is the entire reference manual for SPSS Base
syntax. I hope that helps.
