Thanks Frank,

I have turned off the Tool menus- general tab - Confirm conversions options. But The File Conversion Window still appear. In fact, if I turn on the above, A smaller window pop up to ask me convert file; then a bigger window pop up ask me to select File Conversion encoding.

I think this is new for Window 2000. I need to turn off the second window too.

Thanks for any help.

Ann Pandit

This is a Word setting. Go to the Tools menu and select Options..., go to the General tab and uncheck the Confirm conversions options. (the exact name of the menus and options may differ, I translate from a non-English version of Word).
