This sounds like an awfully basic question but I am having trouble getting the basic descriptives that I want. I have 13 variables and one named "class" that is coded with 7 different values. I want to get descriptive statistics for each of the 7 value categories in "class" across all variables but instead keep getting means and sd by each variable. There are missing values in the data set coded as "9" so I can't just divide by a fixed number to arrive at these descriptives. Thanks for ideas. Paula
