You already received sound advice from two experts. But let me stick in my two cents. In some companies, a title like 'Jr SAS Programmer' may mean more in terms of corporate information than it does in terms of your background. Or it may be that you are on your way to 'SAS Programmer' but have to be promoted in steps, according to HR guidelines.

Ask someone who won't take it personally if you want to know the difference between 'Jr SAS Programmer' and 'SAS Programmer'. Maybe your answer will be more reassuring than you expected.
