Hi Folks,
Jekyll is settling into summer and birds are nesting. There are
several groups of Wilson's Plovers with chicks. The Amphitheater is a
busy place. Today, there were 4 Roseate Spoonbills on the edge of the
pond. They were active, a little bill clacking, pink wing flapping.
They seemed to be flatten out the top of a wax myrtle bush. Could they
be settle in? We'll keep watching.
The Gray Kingbirds are at the Shopping Center. There are still a
few Dunlin and Sanderling around. There was one Caspian Tern at the
Welcome Center.
Have a great weekend.
