Paula,
I haven't actually developed any SAS/AF applications specifically for a
mainframe, but have developed many for UNIX and Windows. Except for any
operating system specific features you might use, which is likely to be a
very small part of an application if at all, SAS/AF applications are the
same for any platform. They become platform-specific once compiled. You
might want to try, on a mainframe, some of the examples written for Windows
or UNIX. SAS/AF applications are very portable.

Subject: SAS/AF on the mainframe
Hello all,
I need to write an interface program on the mainframe and it was suggested
that SAS/AF was the cheapest (we already have the license) and "easiest" way
to go. My only problem is that all the books I've glanced through seem to be
focused on SAS/AF for Windows (or UNIX). Are there any book (or better,
pre-written code) that I can review? How well do the Windows statements
translate to the mainframe environment?
Thanks
