Roger replied to Loralai: If you've been following the list/group for any length of time, you've seen dozens of postings regarding this very topic. --switch to regular list-email mode, and set up your mail client to a) have a separate folder for SAS-L messages b) set up some filters to send a good deal of the spam directly to the trash. My mail filters trash any message that contain the words "Viagra", "Mortgage", etc., or the names of various deposed or deceased African dictators.

My ISP seems to block most of those spams -- I get only about 5-10 per day, as compared to some of my friends who get 100-150/day. that said, HOW COME THE LISTSERV GETS (& FORWARDS) SO MUCH porn & crap? Doesn't it block messages from non-members? Or do all the spammers join the List?

Meanwhile, no one seems to have noticed my question, posted last Thursday, about "complicated repeated measures analysis. How long should I wait before posting it again ???

Sheila (and the non-statistical cats)
