Subject: Can you close sas tables opened by someone else?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi;

I just a job with a small company that uses foxpro via DBMS/Copy to generate sas tables.

One of our biggest problems is that our users ( non technical people in our company ) often open sas tables and leave them open overnight when these processes run. This prevents DBMS/Copy scripts we generate with foxpro from updating those tables.

I don't how to program in sas ( and just a few lines of foxpro ), but before I take the time to learn I was wondering if it was possible to write a script that would close sas tables opened by anyone and regardless of circumstances.

Thanks in advance for the info

Steve
