I would like add to the discussion the following points
It is 100 % ok to ask any question, but to thank the people who answer
it by sending a message to the list is not the right thing to do.
when answering a trivial question (or any question ) check if you add
some thing to the knowledge of many people maybe it is better to send
the answer only to the person posting the question. ( on every message
that i send to the list i send 4 directly to the person asking the
question ) .
some time it is ok to wait a day or two and see if the question was
not answered already before giving the same answer that was posted 2
hours ago .
Also when signing the message a full name and address (city or
country) is nice .
