muir, I agree. I priced sigma plot and our budget is too tight for
additional software that may not work well. we have spss data entry builder
(survey) and discovered, much to our chagrin, that we'd need to spend
another 6K for software to post web surveys. since the survey software was
so difficult to use and kept corrupting we decided to bypass future spss
products.

but this is part of the problem - buy spss (cost?) - but then buy sigmaplot
(£300), just had a flyer for data entry (£650), or someone mentioned
clementine (£2500) - the list could go on - I think we are asking for better
in the original product - not costly add-ons to enable a professional output
- once we are committed to SPSS

Just a quick email to say that SigmaPlot allows you create graphs directly
from SPSS, where you can customise every element of the graph to your
specific requirements.
Susan - whilst it can't export directly to PDF yet, this will be in version
9 due out later this year.
