Good Evening,
I am afraid I am being taken for someone who would like to get a free
ride on SAS (i.e. I have professional work I would like to do on a
$125 piece of software). I won't say I know nothing about SAS, but I
am certainly a novice. I know more about quality engineering than I
know about SAS and my desire is to become dangerous enough with SAS to
actually find a different position where I can be employed as a
quality engineer (at present I program Unix, Sybase, Oracle, and
Powerbuilder). Such a position would entail access to the full
version of SAS versus what is offered by the LE.
Not sure why SAS would limit access to functionality in its LE while
at the same time limiting it to 1000 observations and also setting a
December 31, 2006 expiration date. I have no qualms whatsoever about
1000 observations or even limits on the number of variables. I do
wonder, however, why SAS would not want the most people possible to be
familiar with the recesses of their product. Is it a technical issue?
Thanks,
Mike
