Subject: Limitations in FMS (formerly CFOVision)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Wondering if anyone is aware of any unpublished limitations with the FMS product that would cause a consolidation not to complete? We have a problem on our system where we can create a consolidation in 30-40 minutes. The addition of a couple of files (about 2.5Mbytes total size) causes the thing to either hang up and fail to complete or in one case it did complete but took over 7 hours to finish. I can easily run a summary on these in about 3 and 1/2 minutes, less with NWAY, so it doesn't seem like they are really the problem. I'm about out of ideas, and SAS tech support has had this problem for over a week with no solution. Anybody else run into similar problems and come up with a solution?

Just a note for people considering this or similar SAS 'vertical' products: I really HATE not having control over the code. It is beyond annoying to run into a problem and not be able to look at the code to fix it.
