Subject: Re: Problem about Email of log error
The following works for my Win 2000, Outlook XP, SAS V8 installation.
If you include the following in your SASV8.CFG (or equivalent) file:
/* set email option */
-emailhost=<your outlook exchange email server name here>
Then the SAS statements below will programmatically send an email without
any generated MS Exchange messages.
filename mail email 'nul'
attach = "c:\sas_samp.txt";
data _null_ ;
file mail ;
put "Text in the message";

Subject: Problem about Email of log error
I HAD A SAS PROGRAM WHICH WILL TRY TO SEND AN EMAIL TO MYSELF WHENEVER A
ERROR MESSAGE OCCURS. But before the email can be sent out from my
outlook in Windows 2000, the outlook keeps asking me if this is
authorized action "A program is trying to automatically send email on
your behalf, do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected, it might
be a virus, and you should choose No";
How to disable this alert message? Thanks a lot!
