Saturday a group of 15 participants in Atlanta Audubon Society's annual
sparrow workshop led by Tim Keyes birded the Charlie Elliott WMA looking for
sparrows. This field trip came after a fantastic class session taught by Tim.
We got a total of 44 species that included: chipping, field, vesper,
Savannah, song, swamp, white crowned (several that included some magnificent
males), and white throated sparrows.
A bonus was a barn owl that was, of course, in a barn.
