Subject: Does Proc Import automatically sort input
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I have seen a problem between taking a csv input data set running it through PROC IMPORT and the output coming out sorted which screws up everything.

It has to be the PROC IMPORT because I have no intermediary steps.

Also, for those who are running SAS 9 on a Windows machine and do a PROC IMPORT from the buttons does a screen pop up giving you a choice of Microsoft Excel or a SAS dataset and thats it? Because either one sorts the input data.
