There is a brand new book that sounds very promising and it has created quite a buzz on this list.

Its called "SPSS Programming and Data Management: A Guide for SPSS and SAS Users" by SPSSX-L's own Reynald Levesque.

It is available through SPSS website, and it seems that the shipping and handling cost is more expensive than the book itself (that was a joke).

Greetings,

I have just purchased SPSS 12.0 and am a brand new user. Are there book recommendations to help with understanding how SPSS functions or how to make the program do what I want to do? Is there an "SPSS Bible"? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

David
