Subject:   dataset dilemma
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I have a dataset which I am using for my dissertation. Today, I opened it and only had 2 cases instead of 236. I used a previous version which I thought was the same, but there is a difference in values in the output. I have a copy of the "good" dataset but it is in excel. I cannot get it to import into SPSS I get the following:

>Warning # 208 in column 28. Text:

>A text string is not correctly enclosed in quotation marks on the command

>line. Literals may not be continued across command lines without the use

>of the continuation symbol '+'.

>Error. Command name: GET DATA

>(2201) Expected slash '/' but found:

>..."s"

>This command not executed.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
