He can probably try a UNIX version of SAS typically found on campus UNIX servers.
It must be free.

Brien,
The short answer is no. Now having said that there is a learning
version of SAS that use to sell for around $125.00 the last time I
checked. Good luck.

Subject: newbie question
I'm a student and need to begin learning SAS immediately.
I called the campus bookstore and was told that SAS was ordered 3 months
ago
but still has not shipped. I was also told that the license expires 30
June, and that there still has not been a negotiation to have
replacement
licenses issued, or even to have a grace period after 30 June.
Basically, SAS is not available to students.
Does anyone know of any options for me? Is it possible to get a trial
version or student version online? I didn't see anything on the
website.
Are there any similar shareware packages that I could work with until
students are able to obtain SAS?
Thanks in advance, sorry for the newbie questions.
Brien
