According to the sas-l archive and some stata vendors' sites, you could use Stat/Transfer (also marketed by Stata) to export in sas format. Or you'd better export your data into a flat file an open it with SAS.

Hi,there I am doing a project now,i plan to use the SAS software.the question is the whole data are saved in the STATA datafiles now(.dta). Can everyone tell me how to read these data and transfer it to SAS database.Thanks
