Hi all, I am posting this job announcement on behalf of a colleague.

A permanent job opportunity is available with a major pharmaceutical company in central New Jersey. Local candidates are preferred.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position, reporting to a the head of Specialty and Managed Markets Sales Analytics, is responsible for conducting analysis of secondary pharmaceutical data in support of Managed Markets and the field sales force.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Conduct quantitative studies aimed at understanding the influence of managed care on product access in local geographies. •Coordinate activities with business leaders in managed care and sales •Master statistical approaches and use of software (e.g. SAS, VBA) needed to conduct in-depth analysis that describes the influence of managed care on product access and it’s influence on product sales •Champion expert cross-brand knowledge of managed care industry trends within sales regions •Perform managed care ‘pull-through’ analysis and ad-hoc in response to field and managed care inquiry •Work with other analysts to explore new sources of data to integrate in reports and analysis

REQUIREMENTS:

Requires customer focused individual with ability to work with population-level datasets to produce custom and ad-hoc reports and analysis. Must be able to work under management deadlines. Must demonstrate hands-on knowledge and use of secondary pharmaceutical/third-party sales data and managed care formulary/access data. •BA, MS in Statistics, econometrics, mathematics or marketing science, or similar quantitative discipline •Superior communications skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects and interface with clients •4-6 years pharmaceutical industry experience •Proficient Knowledge of Pharmaceutical sub national prescription/third party data and field force activity data •Demonstrated ability to use modern analysis software packages such as SAS or VBA
