Subject: Command to open a Remote SAS session
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Do anyone know anyway to use command inside the Rsubmit in MVS to open a active remote sas session in a PC ? The reason is that we process data in MVS/TSO, upload to a remote PC in excel format, then email the excel out using the filename email process . In the process, we sould like to apply some of the excel macro to the output before email the excel out. DDE is the only way we know(maybe there are other ways we don't know about) in applying excel macro but it has to be done in an active SAS session. That's why we like to know any command, function, etc. that can open up a remote active SAS session from the MVS using the rsubmit .

Appreciated if anyone can shed some light on this topic.

Thanks

David
