There is a SAS position available at Amgen Medical Affairs, Biostatistics group.

A brief description is as follows: =========================================================== Position: Sr. / Principal Programmer

Job Responsibility: . Ensuring all programming outputs pertaining to non-registrational activities meet required standards and are validated and correct

. Function as a Project Lead Programmer with the following key activities: - Project manage all programming activities on the program - Ensure all programming activities on the program adhere to departmental standards - Create, review and approve all programming plans at study and program level

. Oversee the work of outsourcing partners and vendors at a product level

. Write, test, and validate software programs to produce analysis datasets and TLGs.

. Perform QC checking of software programs written by other programmers

. Provide input to and participate in intra-departmental and global Biostatistics meetings

. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Global Biostatistics and Development

. Assist in the recruitment of programming staff

Experience: . 8+ years experience focused on SAS clinical programming at a pharma or CRO . Strong leadership and communication skills . Project planning and management . BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences or other relevant scientific subject

Compensation: 80k to 105k base (depends on depth of experience) + bonus + options.

Location: Thousand Oaks, California
