Subject: Nice little yard flock @ 10:00 am this morning
Doing some chores around the house this morning out in Tucker, GA. I was
keeping an eye out the window and listening too. Not much happening at all
from 730 until about 10:00 am, and then I heard a familar "zchiip" and saw
a flash of yellow out the window. Grabbed the binocs and rushed out the
back door to a yard full of active migrants:
Chestnut-sided Warbler (6), one with extensive chestnut
Blackburnian Warbler (1) beautiful male
Tennessee Warbler (3)
Magnolia Warbler - too many to count
Bay-breasted Warbler (1) new one for the yard
Palm Warbler (1)
American Redstart (3)
Blue-headed Vireo(2)
I only had about 15 minutes to look around, so I am sure I missed some
stuff. These birds were all actively foraging and moving through the yard
together and in the same direction.
