Subject:      Clinical Statistics Director required for new Group in USA-CA

Fforde is seeking a very business orientated Director to head up a Stats
group at an expanding CRO in the USA ... We will consider UK candidates
looking to re-locate, The ideal candidate requires a Ph.D. in
Biostatistics, or in science with statistics minor, or Masters equivalent
plus five to seven years design and analysis of clinical trials experience
in a Contract Research Organization or Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology
company, including three years managing a biostatistics group.
Neurology/central nervous system experience is preferred. Requires in-
depth knowledge of FDA regulations and experience in interacting with the
FDA. Working knowledge of major statistical software programs, e.g. SAS,
StatXact, Nonlin, EaSt, etc., is necessary. Data management experience is
a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic
environment is essential. Requires effective organizational, presentation,
documentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead
and motivate a group. Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
are necessary
