Ah, and do those terms allow anonymous posting? I do not like people
obscuring their identity for other reasons than, and to a higher extent
than necessary, to prevent spam or for some other good, but exceptional
reason. I regularly see postings from people not disclosing their names. I
don't understand why; there is no reason at all to do so, the list is for
anyone, starters and experts, noone needs to be ashamed of their questions.
I have changed my From and Reply-to email address to limit spam (and now
contribute via the web interface instead of email), but it already is too
late. Besides, spammers generate random email addresses: within a day after
creating, but not yet disclosing my new address I already received spam on
it. My main address is hidden in the sig below, only interpretable to human
eyes and brains (I hope). But my real name and address are clearly stated.
And, as I already stated earlier today I do not object to list-related job
searches and advertisements, which I do not regard spam. Maybe that's not
allowed on newsgroups, but this list isn't a newsgroup only, it's an email
distribution list for subscribers in the first place. So I wonder which
terms actually apply.
Regards - Jim.
