As I understand it, you have to have SAS/ACCESS For Relational
Databases, which is not at all the same as SAS/ACCESS To PC File
Formats.
Furthermore, the big difference that I see between SAS 8 and SAS 9
on this issue is that in SAS 9 you can do threaded reads (with the
right database and OS combo).
