We have a database with a very large number of variables(2500) and a much smaller number of subjects(500), with data gathered at two times (separated by 2 years) from the same subjects for the same questionnaire and testing protocol. We need to analyze the change over time (using SPSS v.13.0). Since we have such a large number of variables, we would strongly prefer to add the time 2 results as rows, with the ID numbers showing the difference between time 1 and 2, rather than as new variables where we would need to rename the large number of variables. However, we have not been able to figure out how to analyze the repeated measures with this setup—it seems like one can only do it by adding variables. Does anyone have experience with the easiest way to set this up and run the comparisons?
