Subject:   Rotation of graphical objects in IGRAPH
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

I've just been working on 3-dimensional pie charts in IGRAPH. They're created with rotations appear to be 345 degrees (around horizontal axis) and 45 degrees (around vertical axis). I find I prefer 0 and 24 degrees.

I don't see any way of specifying these in the IGRAPH syntax. And I'd hoped they'd be preserved in a CHARTLOOK file, but I tried saving one, and they don't seem to be.

Is there no solution but hand-editing every graphical object?

If so, GRRRR! Drat it, *everything* should be specifiable in syntax, in some form. I know that some things in the chart looks, like the specific shading patterns, can't very well be translated into syntax; but THEY could be specified in syntax that points to specific, and reasonably editable files. And SPSS could come with a canned set of specifics (analogous to chartlooks) so one could write pretty reasonable syntax that refers only to materials supplied standard with SPSS.

OK, standard rant off. For the moment.
