Hello, Trudy,

Try installing the v12.02 patch....this might fix the problem (you must first have installed the the v12.01 patch for this to work).

You can find the patches at SPSS Tech Support here:

http://support.spss.com/tech/default.asp

...and go to Patches>SPSS Base Client Patches in the left frame. If prompted for user ID and password to enter the site, just use "guest" and "guest," respectively.

Here is a snippet from the ReadMe file, which you should read before you begin the installations:

Working with SPSS procedures: A problem in CATPCA in which loading plots with centroids were either are not created or are missing elements was fixed. A bug in which certain syntax jobs led to crashes if run more than once within a session was repaired.

The installation takes ~30 minutes, so don't fret if it takes awhile.

Bon Chance! Chris

Dear List,

I wonder if anyone is usng/used SPSS v12. I have been having problem running a long syntax with v12, which is a problem I never had with v11 before. Everytime I run a bunch of syntax into SPSS v12, it will crash and prompt a error window saying "Processos is not available".

Let me know if you have similar experience, or better yet, the solution to this problem.

Thanks,

KYP
