Today was pretty good at Kennesaw Mtn. We had the first Scarlet Tanager, a striking male, near the monument at the bottom. Also had the first Chimney Swift and Tree Swallows. There were a good number of Black-and-white Warblers (10) and Black-throated Green Warblers (5). Still waiting to see what some south winds will deliver later this week. In the yard, we had our first Ruby-throated Hummingbird (male). The Orange-crowned Warbler continues from the winter, and we had a nice male Common Yellowthroat over the weekend. If "Knowledge is Good" (E. Faber), then Spring is Great!
