Subject:   AW: Error when trying to run MULT RESPONSE

Dear Pat, I experienced a similar error recently. There is a Hotfix of version 13 available for download. You have to contact SPSS Technical Support (http://support.spss.com/) and request a login. The Hotfix comes as *.zip file that has to be extracted into your SPSS program directory. Old files will be overwritten by the hotfixed files. Depending on your IT-environment you have to have administrator authorization (WINDOWS XP).

As you already pointed out, a reduction of the number of columns (!) will help, too. The number of lines does not interfere.

Hope this helps

-----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:SPSSX-L@LISTSERV.UGA.EDU] Im Auftrag von Patricia Cleland Gesendet: Montag, 27. Juni 2005 19:49 An: SPSSX-L@LISTSERV.UGA.EDU Betreff: Error when trying to run MULT RESPONSE

I have 18 multiple response groups and 14 variables for which I wish to produce CROSSTABS. I can run CROSSTABS for a single variable by a single group with no problem. When I try to run the CROSSTABS for all the variables and groups, I get the error message:

The processor has terminated due to an unrecoverable error at 0x00e8c53d-fetching from 0xk40f39d0

Is there a restriction on the number of groups and/or variables in the /TABLES subcommand?

I'm running the v13 evaluation copy while I wait for IT to come and install my 13. Would that make any difference?

Pat
