I would like to know whether there is any way to reorder cases using SPSS syntax. My reason for wanting to do this is I have done a duplicates search. I have looked at the duplicates and in some cases I want to delete the 1st case, in some cases, the 2nd case. The only thing I can think to do is to reorder so all the ones I don't want are first, then use the filter function.

Thanks,

Arlin
