Subject:      Annas hummingbird in Macon Cty

On 9/5/2005 I had a female Annas hummingbird at my feeder in eastern Macon
Cty throughout the day.  An interesting observation is that I have had a
male ruby-throat "guarding" the feeder for several days now, successfully
driving off the other ruby-throats.  The Annas stood her ground against
the male ruby-throat and allowed others to visit the feeder, sometimes
three at a time.
