Transposition at the time the chart is created is controlled by a template. This works in SPSS 14 and SPSS 13, but it was not available in the SPSS 12 templates. When you save the template from the Chart Editor in 13 or 14, you need to check the box for orientation. The other properties you refer to are saved in the template in all three versions.
The default chart font can be set via Edit/Options on the Charts tab and does not require a template. However, the template facility provides more detailed control.

Subject: [SPSSX-L] charts transpose
Dear all,
My question is:
I want to make several charts (errorbars), with transposed axes, fixed
scaling, font , etc.
I tried to use a template (*.sgt in SPSS 12) but this doesn't work.
(thanks Martha for your comment).
Does anyone has an idea of how I can do this (transposing etc)
automatically?
Is there a way to get the syntax which SPSS uses to transpose? (did not
find anything in de *.jnl file.)
Or is there a macro for this kind of things?
Any help is welcome.
greetings, anja
