...in the backyard today - a female. The AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES have also
started trickling back to the thistle tube after dining on natural fall
fare for a month or so, I imagine. We also had 2 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET, 2
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLERS, 1 TENNESSEE WARBLER, and a RED-SHOULDERED
HAWK scattered a large group of roosting Mourning Doves behind the house -
interesting to see this species make a run at a bird meal.
Wow! Guess I'll be out at Cochran Shoals and Johnson Ferry North tomorrow
with all the winter sparrow action out that way!
