Hi
The following syntax displays only jobcat categories 1 and 2 (the 2
categories that are listed (within square brackets) after jobcat in the
CATEGORIES subcommand.
GET FILE='c:\program files\spss\employee data.sav'.
CTABLES
/VLABELS VARIABLES=jobcat DISPLAY=DEFAULT
/TABLE jobcat [COUNT F40.0]
/CATEGORIES VARIABLES=jobcat [1,2] EMPTY=INCLUDE.

Subject: Custom Tables Syntax Help.
Dear list,
I'm creating a custom table using the following
syntax:
CTABLES
/VLABELS VARIABLES=Time DISPLAY=DEFAULT
/VLABELS VARIABLES=virus29d DISPLAY=NAME
/TABLE virus29d [COUNT F40.0, COLPCT.COUNT PCT40.0]
BY Time
/CATEGORIES VARIABLES=Time ORDER=A KEY=VALUE
EMPTY=EXCLUDE
/CATEGORIES VARIABLES=virus29d ORDER=A KEY=VALUE
EMPTY=INCLUDE.
However, the variable Time takes on values from 1 to
6. I'd like to limit the table display to values 1,2
and 6 only. Could anyone suggest the right syntax for
that?
Many thanks,
Boris Rachev
