Hi Sheryl,

I experienced the same nightmare in SPSS 12. I couldn't find any solution, but to install SPSS 11.5 in the same computer. I use SPSS 12 for statistical analyses (& processes involving the use of OMS, for example), but I use SPSS 11.5 to work with graphs, where my beautiful collection of templates work smoothly.

At the University we are considering seriously not updating the students' computers to SPSS 13, but to keep on teaching them SPSS 11, at least for one year or two...

Now, trying to be practical, have you installed the patches for SPSS 13? Perhaps you are working with an unpatched version.
