Hi Michael,

Thanks for your input and you did in fact force me to investigate further... I am located in Ottawa/Canada, I had thought that the server resided in the Same Time Zone (in the US), but it turns out that it is located in San Jose.... ( I called to confirm, they have several servers, the more commonly used ones are in New York (hence the project manager's assumption) but this particular one is located in one of their 'other' facilities) a whopping 3 hour difference....

Guess I just found out why!! I'll have to push my scheduled task out to ~3:00 am instead of 12:00 AM.... having said that the responses and suggestions were great... and the added safeguard "loop" will make me sleep better. (error proofing).

Guess I am pessimistic about my code writing skills and figured it was something I did.... rather than looking at the obvious! (I had intended for the orginal paragraph to imply that we/I did not have any other access/privleges (ie. Perl/Unix Crons etc.) other than the limited/various FTP commands as it was not ours, but I am glad it conveyed two messages).

Thanks for the gently worded reminder! James
