I don't understand.
Are you saying that your data are not really supposed to be 280 Gigs and
there
was a mistake in the build? Or are you saying that your data really are 280
Gigs
but the company is not ready to face that fact?
If you have the data that make up your 280 Gig data set elsewhere, then
perhaps
you should not even attempt to build a data set, but instead consider using
a
data view. (Or a SQL view through PROC SQL.) That could save you a lot of
space.
