Oh, and that doesn't make you a shmendrick. A shmendrick is a nobody. A
pipsqueak. Someone who gets sand kicked on him at the beach in the old
Charles Atlas ads. Maybe even a greenhorn. The word actually comes from
the name of a character in an old operetta by Goldfaden - I point that out
because of the discussion the other day about the origin of the word
boycott.
