hi everyone need help on randomization by stratification and blocking.

Q 1 What is the minimum block size for a trial of 3 treatment groups, stratified by 3 clinics and a severity index of mild Vs moderate, and an allocation ratio of 1:1:2 ? How many different sets of permuted blocks are needed ?

Q 2. How many distinct permuted blocks are possible given two treatment

groups, 2:1 allocation and a block size of 6? (For example AABAAB and ABABAA are distinct permuted blocks of size 6). ?

CAN ANYONE PASS ON SOME HINTS??

Thanks.
