Subject: Another Normality question for SPSS
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I originally had a 2x2 factorial design with one variable being scale and one variable being nominal. I originally analysed it parametric with repeated measures anova. My data is in the following format

CaseA CaseB CaseC CaseD 3.000 2.000 2.000 2.000 4.000 2.000 4.000 4.000 ... more ...

Since I have 2*2 levels, I have 4 different cases that I need to assign to the fixed factorial model in the "Repeated Measures" dialog box after establishing the design. How can I do a normality test within the factorial analysis or after?

I also provide the syntax here. Perhaps somebody can tell me how to add that directly inside or after - by syntax.

GLM CaseA CaseB CaseC CaseD /WSFACTOR = factor1 2 Polynomial factor2 2 Polynomial /METHOD = SSTYPE(3) /CRITERIA = ALPHA(.05) /WSDESIGN = factor1 factor2 factor1*factor2.

Best Regards, Karl
