Subject:   Merging Files
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I have a database of student pretest and posttest information that I need to add to on a regular basis. I need a way to merge posttest data into the existing master file since I'm not adding new cases nor am I adding new variables. When I tried the "Add New Variables" option, I lost the existing posttest data when the new data were imported. For the time being, I'm cutting and pasting between files but I need to find a more reliable way to do this.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
