The GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHERS are building a nest in a box on a telephone pole in the yard. This is the same box they built in last year.

My granddaughter, Sophie, was checking my bluebird box to see how many chicks there were and she made a awful discovery. The two chicks that had hatched were dead (also smelling very strongly) and three eggs were remaining. I doubted the female would come back to incubate the remaining eggs so I cleaned out the box for a "fresh start" again.
