I birded the Brandon Farm Road (BFR) / Taff Road (TR) Hwy 113 /
Beazley Road (BR) loop in Bartow County this morning. Approximately
70 noisy and gorgeous BOBOLINKS were mostly at the intersection of
BFR / BR / 113 in the unmowed field containing purple vetch. Several
perched cooperatively on low shrubs for some (mediocre) photos
through the scope. Three DICKCISSELS perched and sang on the
midportion of BFR. Also seen and heard, as expected, were GRASSHOPPER
SPARROWS, BLUE GROSBEAKS, EASTERN KINGBIRDS, and ubiquitous EASTERN
MEADOWLARKS & INDIGO BUNTINGS. Not seen: ORCHARD ORIOLE.
Good birding
