There are about 10 eastern kingbirds catching other flying things over the marsh in front of my house at Estell Hammock on Tybee. In the mud flats there are 4 semipalmated plovers, 1 spotted sandpiper, 2 sandpipers I can not identify and the clapper rail family that lives there. I have been watching the family since Wednesday evening when I saw them for the 1st time. There are 2 adults and 7 babies. They look like little black biddies. The parents catch fiddler crabs then the kids run out from the marsh to get their meal. Steve Livingston Tybee Island.
