Subject: Black-billed Cuckoo - Cochran Shoals - 5/15/06

Well I finally saw a Black-billed Cuckoo. It was at the intersection of the main trail and the trail that heads left before the bathroom at Cochran Shoals at the Chattahoochee River.

I saw a cuckoo fly into the woods and lucked into a great view. It didn't call, but I did see the red iris. Very cool.

No luck on Connecticut Warblers today. I'm up in Cookeville, TN this week, so I'll be trying up here.

Steve Holzman North High Shoals, GA (Oconee County)
